How to launch a great idea into the world.

I can probably guess that you had one of those moments in your life where you have come up with an awesome idea but don't have a clue on where to even begin. We have all experienced something like that in the past, I have personally had ideas that I thought were good at one point and then simply disregarded the idea because I thought it was too hard or simply dumb.

But I have learned that when it comes to being an entrepreneur there's a proven method of knowing whether your idea is a good idea or a bad one.

It's pretty simple actually, all you have to ask yourself is this:

Does my idea solve a common problem? I mean if you have a good idea for a product or service then the goal is probably to help someone out there solve a problem. Perhaps you came up with the idea because you experienced an issue or problem and you came up with a simple way to solve it.

These days what I like to do is write any ideas that I come up with in the moment, doesn't matter what I'm doing I simply take a pen and paper and write the entire thing before I forget. Then I go back and actually analyze the whole thing and ask for opinions from people who have experienced the same problem to see if they also believe my idea can help them solve that problem.

Our society is built on creativity, the biggest millionaires and billionaires in the world are powerful because they once came up with a great idea and actually work very hard to bring that idea to life. There's a great video on YouTube from Seth Godin that talks about this concept on getting your ideas to spread.

So if you have a great idea the first thing you should do is:

  • write it down, no matter where you are or what you are doing.
  • ask for an opinion or seek advice from someone who your idea can help
  • find someone or research ways to bring your idea to life.

I read in a book once that most people never reach their full potential, there's no lack of creativity and ideas in this world just a lack of action because of fear, money and other factors. My advice to you is that if you have a great idea and you have a passion to help others and solve a problem do whatever you have to do to make it happen, someday you will be glad you took a shot and went for it.
