Do you REALLY need a mobile friendly website

Just recently a friend of mine who owns limo service cape coral was complaining that his traffic, Google rankings and leads had dropped more than 70% in a period of 7 weeks and he was going crazy not knowing what the problem was. Initially he thought it was something to do with more competitors jumping on the marketplace and then by looking at his site and doing a quick responsive test I noticed his site was not responsive.

It was one of those HTML sites that looked like it was built in the 90’s. Recently Google made a major announcement saying that it will help sites that are mobile friendly achieve better rankings on Google.

The change resulted in thousands of sites with old, non-responsive designs to basically lose spots on Google and as a result their business was affected. After convincing my friend that all he needed to do was update the design, he decided to go with WordPress and within 2 weeks his site was back up in the 1st page of Google. Sometimes we must adapt to a changing marketplace otherwise we stay behind.
